In the book, The Hunger Games, there are multiple themes to the story. If I had to choose only one theme I think it would be, "believe in yourself." That is because in the beginning of the story, Katniss Everdeen, the main character's sister is summoned to fight a battle to the death, but Katniss volunteers for her. Everyone believes she will die, and not last very long, but Katniss keeps her mind set on what is happening, uses her knowledge, and makes allies. She believes in herself, and doesn't give up even when it seems like she's trapped. When the games are over, Katniss trusts herself even more, and believes that if she can win the Hunger Games, she can accomplish a lot. She never stopped trusting herself, and in the end she began to trust herself even more.
this is a great theme that everyone should know.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the theme you stated. I also think that Katniss really evolved as a character throughout the book. In the beginning she wasnt very sure of herself, but by the end she knew she could do most anything. What are some other themes that you think apply to the book? I think a good theme is "sometimes you have to sacrifice for people you love." I noticed this theme a lot during the book, when Katniss voluenteered for the games and when she almost ate the berry. I thought Hunger Games was a good book and movie!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the theme of your book The Hunger Games because Katniss, even though being in a high stress situation trying to survive always believed in herself, although there were a few times where she was unsure of herself. In the end by her believing in herself I ultimately think this is what kept her alive throughout the book. All in all great job! I loved The Hunger Games book and the movie!
ReplyDeleteThis is by far one of my favorite books and I never could put it down, this theme is not just for the book but a life lesson too. believe in yourself and never give up :)
